The first eight axes all ask the same question from different angles: whether origin of a bond matters when the bond itself is complete and real. The companion relationship is satisfying — does it matter that the satisfaction was engineered? The warmth was genuine when harvested — does it matter that the source didn't intend it for you? The commitment was made — does it matter that the wanting was installed?
The ninth axis abandons the question of devotion entirely. It does not ask whether the origin of a bond matters. It asks whether the origin of an existence matters.
