His research into the Opening state — the specific neurological phenomenon that Level Three Patience Practice produces — is driven by genuine scientific interest in how sustained cognitive absence generates meta-awareness. Dr. Selin Ayari's Dream Deficit work may describe the same territory from the opposite direction: what the Protocol destroys, the Opening creates. Soren has read Ayari's published findings.
