Trev Vance is the other one. Cory is the one with the twitching cheek. Trev is the one whose left eye blinks the wrong color, a faint cyan flicker against an otherwise unmodified pupil, the result of an ocular implant rejection from the 2180 salvage shipment that Cory's cheek-augment also came from. Both installs were attempted in the same week by the same salvage tech, whose name neither Trev nor Cory has been observed to recall.

The implant was not successfully integrated with Trev's optic nerve. Vision in the left eye is functional in low light and degrades to faint cyan at any illumination above the Park's catwalk-LED baseline. Trev has never complained. Trev has, by Bubz's count, never voluntarily entered a brightly-lit area in the entire six years he has been in the Park.

He wears mismatched salvage clothing layered without much thought, a baseball cap worn forward at all hours, and a single patched-up sneaker on his right foot paired with a different patched-up sneaker on his left foot — the inverse of Cory's arrangement, in the only piece of differentiation either has displayed to outside observers. He defers to Jay-Roc constantly, finishes Cory's sentences without noticing, and never speaks in scenes where Jay-Roc is present.

Trev is paid in Helix WellnessProt vat-grown patties out of the same diverted pallet Randy eats from, at a rate Trev has never asked Jay-Roc to clarify. Bubz has, on three separate occasions, slid a kittenbot's trim allotment over to Trev when the patty supply ran short. Trev accepted. Cory did not need to be informed.

Randy was not asked when he offered Cory the quarter-patty and noted no objection. The Park's interpretation is that Cory and Trev share patty rights through a mechanism neither has explained.

• Paired: Cory Vance — they finish each other's sentences without noticing and have functioned as a unit since before either joined the Park.
