Overview
Rima is the Sprawl's most elite VIP hostโthe man who caters to warlords, corporate executives, drug lords, and politicians. If you need access to any party, the perfect table, the perfect guests, and every vice imaginable delivered on demand, Rima is one call away.
He positions himself as an intelligence brokerโcome for the party, share a few trade secrets, and he'll sell what he hears to interested parties. At least, that's his pitch.
Rima throws the best parties in the world. Where else can you get 17 bottles of laser juice delivered to your suite on 20 minutes' notice?
Appearance
When you're standing in line at the nightclub, Rima is the guy walking past everyone. The bouncers give him high-fives. He's pulling up in the hottest cars with the hottest companions, wearing fashion you haven't seen yet.
That elite new piece of attire you saw at the department store last week? Rima was wearing it last year.
Physical description:
- A little under mid-height (not the tallest guy in the room, but commands it anyway)
- Age indeterminate (claims 25, has for decades)
- Long blonde hair down to his chin, which he's constantly pushing back with his hands
- Extremely fit and muscular (4 hours daily in the gym)
- Impossibly youthful appearance
- Always movingโdancing to a rhythm no one else can hear
The signature look:
- Thin white tank tops showing far more skin than you'd expect from a man in his position
- Big shiny designer jackets thrown over the tank top
- Designer pants and designer shoes covered in sparkles, rhinestones, and reflective surfaces that catch laser light from every angle
- He's a walking light show when the strobes hit right
The drink: Rima alwaysโalwaysโhas a drink in his hand. At the club. In the VIP lounge. In the back of a corporate sedan. In places where it wouldn't be appropriate, or normal, or even understandable why someone would be holding a drink. There's Rima, drink in hand.
Most partygoers assume it's alcohol. Maybe laser juice. Something to take the edge off a life spent surrounded by vice.
It's not.
The glass contains a precisely measured protein-creatine-synthetic infusion designed to maximize hypertrophy and muscle production while reducing fat cells and extending cellular longevity. The exact formulation is known only to one doctor operating out of the Dregs.
The poster: Those with good memories and enough surviving brain cells remember seeing Rima as the literal poster child for Dr. Tzu Yu's aesthetic cybernetics campaign. But if you saw the man in that old poster, you wouldn't recognize him as Rima today. For obvious reasons.
History
The Sobriety Story
Rima doesn't drink. Doesn't do drugs. Has access to the best substances in the Sprawl and won't touch them.
He tells people it's practicalโyou can't party every night until morning while consuming what you distribute. But there's a story behind it.
When he was much younger, someone gave him neo-chamomile tea gummiesโone of the mildest relaxation supplements on the market. Barely a drug at all. Except Rima misread the directions by a factor of 10.
The tea hit him so hard he called 911. Convinced he was dying. Convinced it was laced with something else. In the ambulance, trembling and certain this was the end, he swore he would never touch another substance again.
He stayed true to that oath.
Dr. Tzu Yu was the physician who received him at the hospital. After running tests and confirming it was just tea, Tzu Yu delivered the news: to maintain his current insurance policy tier, Rima would need to avoid all substances going forward.
Rima has been sober ever since. Decades now. Surrounded by every vice imaginable, partaking in none.

The Social Mastermind
The Definitive Opinions
Rima always knows the best of whatever it is: the best coffee, the best drink, the best location, the best restaurants, the best grocery store. He has a definitive view on everything, and it's very hard to change his opinion.
The truth is, 90% of the time he's right.
The Party Correction
One of the running jokes is that most people around him think they know what the hottest party is. Rima will correct them.
"Oh no, no, no. That's just where the commoners go. The real party is in the back room."
"The real party is at the penthouse afterwards."
"The real party is the after-after-after party."
When he gives away these secrets, he's unaware he's doing it. He's very nonchalant and doesn't even realize. It just seems like a normal thing to say because he's so used to working in those circles. And because he's around intoxicated people so much, he's used to people freely sharing information. He's so plugged into the elite world he can't even identify what's a secret. He just assumes everyone knows these things because everyone tells him stuff.
The Comfort Effect
One of Rima's attributes is that he makes people feel so good and so comfortable. They don't even realize they've spilled their secrets until after they've stepped away from him.
Also, Rima always knows what's going on. He always has the inside scoop, and no one can figure out how it's possible he knew that thing. That secret trade deal you're working on? He already knew about it. He knew what the response was before the other party even got back to you. He always has his ear plugged into the world, and he always knows every detail. Yet no one really understands exactly how it's possible.
The Business Model (As Rima Presents It)
I don't work for the corporations. I don't work for the big nightclubs. I don't work for the celebrities. I work for you. My job is to make sure you have a good time.Rima's pitch
The spycraft angle: Rima positions himself as an intelligence broker. Come to him for the best party in the Sprawl, and while you're enjoying yourself, share a few trade secrets. After a couple bottles of laser juice, people talk. Rima listens. Then he sells what he hears to interested parties.
That's his pitch, anyway.
The Immortality Question
No one knows exactly how old Rima is. He's claimed to be 25 for at least 25 years, possibly longer.
His clients, associates, and vendors all wonder: How does he stay so young?
Theories circulating:
- Magical transcendence technology from corporate deep archives?
- Extreme cybernetics maintained by Dr. Tzu Yu?
- The ridiculous vitamin regimen? (He takes so many daily that people think he's promoting a nutrition company.)
- Sheer willpower and discipline?
- Does he wake up at 3 AM to hit the gym before the party starts?
- Does he ever actually sleep?
- Is it the ice baths on his penthouse balcony?
The truth: No one knows.
Except Dr. Tzu Yu. And he's not talking.
The Vitamin Situation
To maintain his youthful appearance while partying every night until morning, Rima consumes an absurd quantity of supplements.
The daily intake is so extreme that people assume it must be promotional. He has to have economic incentives from a nutrition company. There's no other explanation for why most of his meals each day consist entirely of powder and pills.
But no one can figure out which company. The supplements have no consistent branding. The pills come from unmarked containers. The powder gets mixed with water in an elaborate morning ritual that takes 45 minutes.
He never discusses it. When asked, he changes the subject to the party.
Operations
Venue-agnostic: Rima doesn't have a home club. He IS the party. Wherever he goes becomes the place to be.
Global reach: He rotates between elite spaces across multiple sectors, knowing the exact GPS coordinates of the best tables across the planet.
The pitch: "I work for you." Not corporations, not nightclubs, not celebrities. Just the client. Making sure they have a good time.
The deliverable: Access, atmosphere, and every vice on demand. Need something? Call Rima. He'll figure it out. 17 bottles of laser juice in 20 minutes? Done. An introduction to someone you shouldn't be able to meet? Arranged. A night you won't remember but will never forget? His specialty.
Meaningful places
Heaven Towers
For all his venue-agnostic philosophy, Rima does have a home: the penthouse atop Heaven Towers, a luxury apartment building in the Upper Sprawl.
The space:
- Full-scale DJ booth with professional sound system (he doesn't DJ; he has people for that)
- A mini-club that can host 50 of his closest "friends" on any given night
- Outdoor spa with panoramic skyline views
- Ice bath on the balcony (part of the immortality regimen)
- Floor-to-ceiling windows that turn the city into a light show
The surprise: Rima has extreme taste in designer clothes and accessories. However, when people ever come to his penthouse, they're very surprised to find he has almost no furniture. It's a little bit empty and a little bit cold. Part of the reason is because he's never there, and no one else is either.
Rima is almost never there. He's at other people's parties, other people's clubs, other people's events. The penthouse exists for the rare nights when he hosts privately.
