Overview
We didn't pay anyone to design this label. We don't run AR overlays, witness layers, or social-feed integrations. There is no scoring rubric watching you drink it. The bottle is glass. The water is water. We sourced it from a real spring in a real place we are not going to name, because naming the spring would invite the kind of marketing-funnel coverage that would change what the spring is. Each bottle is labeled by a real person, by hand, paid a real wage. The bottles are not uniform. The labels are not perfectly aligned. The price is higher than Halo. We are aware of the irony. The price reflects it.
The Authenticity Tribunal โ the institution that certifies authenticity across the Sprawl, that adjudicates what is real, that has never ruled against Nexus โ sells a product called Honest. They certify it themselves. They are aware. The conflict of interest is not a bug; it is the brand. The dregs buy Honest to signal they are above corporate marketing, and the act of signaling is the marketing, and the brand is the certifying body's most profitable line because the body's signature on the label is the only authenticity certification the brand legally requires. The buyer is paying a premium to be the kind of person who pays a premium for something that says it doesn't believe in premiums. The Tribunal's lawyers reviewed this paragraph. They had no notes.
Packaging & Appearance
A clear glass bottle in an irregular salvaged shape โ slightly lopsided neck, uneven shoulders, the silhouette of something that was once a wine bottle, a vinegar bottle, a spirits bottle, given a second life. No two bottles are the same. The cork is wax-dipped in a deep matte color and applied while the wax is still pliable, leaving a thumb-shaped depression on most caps. The label is a single sheet of slightly wrinkled off-white kraft paper, hand-applied with visible adhesive misregistration. The text is plain typeset serif, no logo, no mascot:

Lower-right of the label sits a round wax-and-ink certification stamp, hand-pressed and deliberately a little crooked, the word CERTIFIED partly smudged. The bottles are meant to be held in a closed grip, label inward, in conversation. The buyer is meant to be asked about the bottle. The buyer is meant to explain. The explaining is the point.

Aqua. Filtered. From a real spring. We are not telling you which one. No additives. No witness layer. No optimization. No subscription. The price reflects the labor of the hand that labeled the bottle, the salary of the assessor who certified the spring, and the markup the certifier charges the certified.
What Nobody Can Explain

The spring is unnamed and its location is not disclosed. The Tribunal certified the spring before the product launched. No independent assessment of the spring has ever been filed. The certification is the Tribunal's word that the spring is what the Tribunal says it is.
Honest has been brought before the Tribunal exactly zero times for false advertising. The label reads "We are aware of the irony." The Tribunal, which could convene a review, has not. Whether the awareness constitutes a defense is a question nobody has formally asked, because the asking would require standing before the body you are asking.
Relief's quiet funding arrangement with the Tribunal is not public. The more credibility "authentic" carries as a category, the more profitable Relief's synthetic product line becomes, because authentic is the ceiling against which synthetic prices itself. Honest's premium reinforces that wall, the wall makes Relief money, the Tribunal files no disclosures about the relationship, and the relationship continues.
The Ratification Queue runs through the same administrative apparatus that certifies this bottle. The Tribunal that certified the spring also certifies the 4,000,002nd entry in the Queue โ whenever it gets to it. Honest is ยข47 per liter and available now. The cure that's been waiting for eleven years is also certified. By the same body. On a different timeline. The Tribunal is aware of the irony. The price reflects it.
