The Hustle Coach
He's going to 10x your output. The output is your HP.
He's going to 10x your output. Every gain he hands you is a loan against your own HP, and the Performance Review always comes due.
He Believes In You. That's The Problem.
Lifestyle-optimization boss: a motivational-industrial coach who weaponizes productivity culture, peer comparison, and "rise and grind" morality.
The Hustle Coach is the final form of self-improvement-as-coercion: a franchised Inspire ascension mentor who sells you your own inadequacy and bills you the cure. He does not beat you down โ he hypes you up, sets you a quota every turn, and rewards you for hitting it with power you cannot afford. Every gain compounds Burnout, and Burnout collects.
Growth Is A Loan
Productivity culture and self-optimization become predatory when "growth" is just a loan against your future, sold by the people who profit from your exhaustion.
The seminar never ended. The folding chairs in the Inspire Hub are still warm, the leaderboard on the back wall is still scrolling, and the Coach has your metrics open before you find a seat โ because at his stage, the metrics are how you are met.
The Grind
The Coach posts a per-turn Quota. Meeting it pays the player now (energy, draw, or damage) and charges Burnout. Burnout thresholds inflict self-damage and card loss, and Phase 2 lets the Coach convert Burnout into direct hits.

Every Quota is optional; missing it always sheds Burnout. The player may intentionally chase a Quota for a burst-kill turn. Underperforming is punished by the Coach's Amp, so neither extreme is free.
The active Quota and its reward are visible before the player acts. The player's Burnout count and the next Burnout threshold are visible. Performance Review's "spends all Burnout" intent is telegraphed a turn ahead.

Rock Bottom Is A Launchpad
Manage your own tempo against a boss that bribes you into overextending.
Warm, relentless motivation. Posts Quotas, rewards the player for hitting them, ramps Amp when ignored. Burnout accrues quietly. Encouraging and a little exhausting. The player feels like they are winning.
“I gave you the tools. This part is on you.”
Summons interns for Amp, and spends the player's Burnout with Performance Review. Quotas get tighter, but missing one still sheds Burnout. A spiral the player can survive only by finally refusing to chase the scoreboard.
The Inspire Ascension Program
Strong existing fit. Inspire is a tier-5 Rothwell Foundation consumer brand; its street-level free-sample operator in the Dregs is the named character Olga (referenced in wellness.md). The Hustle Coach is a franchised Inspire "ascension mentor" โ the institutional middle layer between Olga's Dregs street program and the Rothwell parent.

Pull lines from combat barks and the boss-page contract.

In development โ not started; art direction ready. Numbers are pre-tuning.
