Overview

Where doctrinal interrogators work on individuals, Sanctifiers work on spaces. Their mandate is to "sanctify" locations where unauthorized spiritual activity has taken root — to strip the place of whatever made it sacred to someone else. They carry portable consecration equipment: neural dampeners, chemical agents that neutralize ritual residue, signal-jamming arrays that disrupt fragment-frequency meditation.

Applied to the people in those spaces, the same equipment produces rapid-fire sensory overload and spiritual negation that leaves targets weakened, their conviction stripped, their defenses hollowed out. The Sanctifiers undergo a desensitization regimen that burns out their own spiritual receptivity — they cannot feel what they destroy, and that incapacity is the point. Resistance strengthens their resolve: the same institutional certainty that makes them immune to doubt makes them harder to stop the longer they are challenged.
