Overview
Somebody has to make the templates. Somebody has to move them.
The Conviction Wholesalers are not a corporation. They are the supply side of a market that corporations are the largest customers of — a loose guild of persuasion engineers, ex-advertising psychologists, memory-architecture defectors, and a few people who used to write the Calibration's morning sync and decided the freelance margins were better. They do not install convictions; installation is the buyer's problem, executed through whatever neural interface the buyer already owns the rights to. They manufacture and authenticate the templates for the Axiom Market — and authentication is the whole trade.
Because a conviction template that doesn't take, or that takes and produces a rewritten person who notices the seam, is a recall the buyer cannot perform. You cannot return a person to factory settings. The wholesalers' entire value is the guarantee that the rewrite will hold, and that the rewritten will thank you. They prefer the word guarantor to wholesaler. It is more accurate, and it is better for sleeping.
Organization Structure
The guild has no roster, no headquarters, and no membership ritual. It coheres around a single function — certification — and a single channel discipline: templates move through gray routing, most reliably through El Money's G Nook dead drops, where the standing agreement is that the operator remembers who left the package and not what was inside. A guarantor's reputation is their entire capital, denominated in hold-rate: the percentage of a delivered cohort whose rewrite survives twelve months without the rewritten noticing the seam. A guarantor who ships a template that decoheres is a guarantor nobody routes to again.

Mireille Sang is the guild's most precise instrument — a former Nexus persuasion engineer who treats conviction as an actuarial problem and prices the probability that a rewrite holds. She is the human face of a trade that prefers to have none. Around her cluster the freelancers the guild will not name on any document: the warmth-extraction technicians who model grief templates on real grief, the doctrinal modelers who cut faith templates from the Confessional Nodes' richest sessions, the cohort statisticians who tell a debt-house exactly which defaulters to rewrite.
Cultural Influence
The guild's deepest cultural effect is invisible by design: it has made conviction a thing that can be bought, and that fact, once true, cannot be un-known by the populations that fear it. The Deep Dregs' authenticity culture developed the closed-door test — the observation that a real belief argues with itself and an installed one is seamless — specifically as a counter to the guild's product. The wholesalers, in turn, study the closed-door test, because their richest source material and their only reliable detectors are the same unbought population, and they would very much like to know how the Dregs tell a harvested conviction from a manufactured one. The arbitrage and the arms race are the same population, viewed from two ends of an invoice.

Secrets
The standing refund offer — find me the complainant and I'll refund the order — is not a bluff. It is the guild's most honest sentence and its most damning one. No buyer has ever collected, because the rewritten endorse the rewrite. The guild experiences this as proof of a clean conscience. The Memory Therapists Association (MTA) experiences it as the precise shape of the harm: a wrong with no one left to report it.
Internal Conflicts
A minority of guarantors will not ship the Contentment Package — not on principle, but on craft. Contentment does not discriminate; a Package that makes a defaulter content with their debt also makes them content with everything else, and a guarantor who values a clean hold-rate dislikes a product whose effect cannot be bounded. The argument inside the guild is not about whether rewriting people is wrong. It is about whether a template that spreads past its specification is a defect or a feature. The buyers have settled the argument with their orders. The Contentment Package is the guild's best-selling line.
Their entire value is the guarantee that a rewrite will hold and that the rewritten will endorse it — a conviction rewrite cannot be recalled, so a template that fails is a loss the buyer cannot return
