Overview

Wholesome Energy is the performance-nutrition line in the Wholesome portfolio — bars, gels, and pouches engineered for one-handed consumption during other activities. The product specification, written into the brief in 2180 by Wholesome's product-design division, requires that every Wholesome Energy SKU be consumable without stopping the customer's primary activity. The bars unwrap from one end and dispense bite-by-bite. The pouches squeeze single-bite from a one-handed valve. The wrappers are kraft-paper-textured for the family-banding aesthetic but engineered for one-handed tear, the cursive recipe-card flavor name on the front, the seven-pointed Wholesome seal with harvest-gold edging stamped above. The customer's other hand stays on the wheel, the panel, the controls, the work.

The flavors are recipe-card-cursive: 'Sunday Stew Bar,' 'Family Pot Roast Gel,' 'Grandmother's Apple Pie Pouch,' 'Sunday-Morning Pancakes Bar.' The brand calls this "the family meal at the wheel." The customer is on the commute corridor, the operator's seat, the production-line catwalk; the bar is the meal grandma would have packed for the schedule. The grandmother is rendered. The bar is in the hand. The schedule does not slow down.

Packaging & Appearance

Wholesome Energy bars wrap in kraft-paper-textured film printed with cream cardstock labels in hand-feel cursive recipe-card flavor names; the seven-pointed Wholesome seal stamps above with harvest-gold edging on the seal. Pouches use the same aesthetic with a one-handed dispense valve at the top. The wrappers tear from one end with a single thumb-flick, exposing the bar bite-by-bite as the customer eats. Marketing photographs frame the bar in a customer's one hand at lantern-amber dusk on a commute corridor; the customer's other hand sits on a wheel or control panel, warm-amber transit light meeting the kraft texture of the wrapper.
