Singular

Made by Triumph

"One bean. One grower. One you."

Overview

Singular is what coffee becomes when caffeine stops being the point. Each cup — $400, served in hand-thrown porcelain, prepared by a barista who knows your name because Triumph briefed them — is sourced from a single cultivator on a single hillside whose harvest you watched, live, on the morning of brewing. The grower greets you by name in the welcome livestream. They remember your last visit. They have been trained to. The bean is, by every blind tasting Triumph has commissioned, an excellent bean. The bean is also not what you are paying for.

You are paying for the AR layer. Pick up a cup of Singular inside a Triumph-affiliated café and your provenance ribbon — farmer's portrait, hillside coordinates, harvest date, your visit count — broadcasts above your head to anyone wearing standard overlay glasses. The cup is the invitation; the room is the audience. Drinking a non-traceable bean inside the same café, by contrast, registers as a soft social demerit on the venue's house score, a slight greying-out of your overlay presence that everyone notices and no one mentions. The ethical-sourcing certification stamped on the saucer is administered by a Triumph subsidiary that audits only Triumph farms. The whole loop closes inside the brand. That is the brand.

Packaging & Appearance

Hand-thrown porcelain, off-white with a faint warm undertone — each cup slightly different in the way pre-industrial pottery is, which is the point and the price. The Triumph mark is a tiny gold dot inside the rim, visible only when the cup is empty. A single coffee bean is embossed on the saucer, beneath the heat-cured certification stamp. When the cup is held, the AR provenance ribbon unfurls overhead in soft amber and stays visible for the duration of the drink. The cup is intended to be held at face height, between sips, while looking out across the café. It is a beautiful object. It is also a transmitter.

Ingredients

Single-cultivator coffee (named farmer, hillside coordinates, harvest livestreamed). Filtered water (extraction medium, Triumph-house mineral profile). Provenance ribbon (AR-broadcast). Audience (separately monetized).
