Overview
In a pattern game in the Glowpatch, Pogo Puddlepop jumps before Riff Rocketray's last beat. Pogo misses the ring and splashes Riff. The puddle boots replay the landing as three harmless splash marks.
Pogo checks Riff before laughing. Riff shakes one wet wing and points to the first mark. Pogo names what happened, what hurt, and what must change. Nobody hides the splat. Pogo laughs at Pogo only after Riff is standing.
Riff starts the pattern again. Pogo begins from the splat, crouches, and waits for Riff's nod. The best second try may begin with not jumping yet.
