A ten-year indenture lenders stretch to forty; a child inherits the unpaid balance. The fracture: abolitionists and corporatists agree it is fair — it treats human and machine identically — and that is exactly what is monstrous. Equality achieved by lowering everyone to property that can buy itself back.

The weave fuses three existing threads into one mechanism: time-debt (debt as identity, the post-mortem collateral clause), corporate-compact (citizenship-as-contract extended into being-as-balance), and great-divergence (the priced threshold of personhood, born nearly-free at the top and never-clearing at the bottom).
